Here is something new to me. Kansas Pop Rocks! It's no secret that I love a weird concretion, so when I saw these fun pyrite concretions from Kansas, I found them so cute and interesting. Kansas Pop Rocks are a variety of pyrite with a radial crystal structure that usually form on a nucleus such as a fossil vertebrae, tooth or clam shell. They are from the Niobrara Formation also called the Niobrara Chalk that is a geologic formation that was laid down approximately 84 million years ago. Cool!

This listing is for ONE PIECE only, randomly chosen. Some people like to pair them. They have round or oval shapes, some are even weirder shapes. Both sides have the raised pyrtite sparkle patches.
